Each year, Running Strong distributes more than 500,000 pounds of food to American Indian communities in need.

Running Strong knows that when families are struggling to meet their most basic needs, they don’t have much left over for toiletries and other hygiene items. So we distribute thousands of cases of hygiene kits and diapers through community food banks as well.
HOLIDAY TOYS In addition to our annual TOYS FOR TRIBES Holiday Toy Drive, benefitting the Cheyenne River Youth Project, Running Strong distributes brand new toys to American Indian children on reservations throughout South Dakota and Montana each year. Each year, Running Strong distributes 4,000 toys (valued at $30,000).
COATS, SHOES, AND BLANKETS Too often, we hear stories of American Indian children trying to make it through the winter with no shows or with 2 children sharing a single coat.
Running Strong donates warm blankets, shoes, and coats throughout year to make sure children stay warm and safe all winter. Each year, Running Strong distributed 3,000 coats (valued at $285,000), 3,000 blankets (valued at $19,000) and 3,000 pairs of brand new shoes (valued at $110,000).
