IDAHO

According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, 17 percent of American Indian and Alaska Native youth (between the ages of 16 and 19) are not working nor are they attending school, compared to 9 percent nationally.

The teenage years can be a difficult time for all children, but especially so for American Indian youth. Running Strong believes that by providing them with Native role models we can encourage them to make healthy choices and build a bright future.
