Two Cheyenne River sisters show their excitement after picking out their prom dresses at the 2007 Passion for Fashion night.

Each year, the Cheyenne River Youth Project^® (CRYP) holds the Passion for Fashion Prom Dress Drive to benefit Cheyenne River girls that want to attend their prom, but cannot afford new dresses.

All year, CRYP collects gently used special occasion dresses, shoes, purses, and accessories.  CRYP then holds a special night for these girls where they receive a makeover and get to "shop" through the donated dresses for their prom outfit.  This year's event was especially exciting because CRYP was able to hold it at the new Ċokata Wiċoni Teen Center.  

This prom dress drive ensures that these teenage girls, who are growing up in one of the poorest communities in the US, can forget their worries and enjoy their special night.  This year 94 girls received dresses thank to the prom dress drive.  Running Strong provides general support for Passion for Fashion.
